Moving? Let’s be honest, moving is definately stressful. Imagine how our furry friends must feel watching all this unfold; strangers in and out of the home, stressed out humans, boxes everywhere….That’s why it is vital to look after them carefully during the moving process.
– Become familiar with pet rules and regulations where you are moving to especially if moving to a strata complex. There may be pet restrictions involved. This is one good reason why it is vital to work with a reputable licensed realtor.
– Talk to your current vet to get suggestions for behavior modification techniques or medication that can help with travelling stress.
– Find a new vet. Your current vet may be able to make suggestions.
– Get your pet’s medical records.
– Update your address if you have identification tags for your pet.
– Try to keep things normal around the home. Bring their carriers out a few weeks before the move so they become familiar with it out. Keep all pet items with you and not into moving truck.
– Know where your pet will be on moving date. It is a great idea to remove them to a friends or family members home. If you must keep them home, find a quiet room, make sure they have water and put a HUGE sign on the door.
– Be prepared for air travel if applicable. Check all rules and regulations far ahead of the day so as to be prepared.
– After moving day, don’t let pets roam around the neighborhood until they are acclimated.
Now, snuggle up with your furry friend and enjoy your new home.

Labour Day (or Labor Day in the States) is an annual holiday to celebrate the achievements of workers. Labour Day has its origins in the labour union movement, specifically the eight-hour day movement, which advocated eight hours for work, eight hours for recreation, and eight hours for rest! So rest up and get ready for FALL!

We are experiencing an incredible market. Record breaking number of sales with an increase of almost 20% compared to June of last year. Demand does appear to be leveling off slightly which is good news for both buyers and sellers allowing for a bit more breathing room!
The key in this market is to talk to an experienced REALTOR! Our team has decades of combined experience and are ready to handle this complex industry.

We at the Klassen Family Team office have experienced many multiple offers scenarios over the last 6 months in all markets including age restricted, stratas and of course, detached homes. We recently experienced a home in east Abbotsford which we listed for $749,000 and it sold immediately for $850,500. Do contact us if you would like to experience this too!

In our first quarter of the year in Abbotsford, we experienced a strong absorption rate for all types of homes. As we see, strong demand is resulting in price increases as supply continues to diminish in the market. It is our goal to stimulate dialogue with potential sellers and buyers. We want you to feel open to come to us with your questions, comments and concerns. It is a market that definately has some challenges. It is important to gather as much information as you can so that you can make an informed decision. Should you sell now or wait? Should you buy now or wait? I am not saying that we at the Klassen Family Team have all the answers. What I am saying is that we have decades of experience in all kinds of markets. We will give you honest advice and guide you through the process. We will help navigate the sometimes murky and volatile real estate waters and we won’t let you drown.
Hear our heart and do give us a call. If we feel it is not the right time for you to proceed, we tell you that too. It truly is “All About YOU!”

We just had the pleasure of attending a realtor preview of the newest condo project in Abbotsford. The quality displayed here was very impressive. There will be 1, 2, and 3 bedroom condominium homes with only 8 residences per floor. Each unit is a corner unit which allows for an incredible amount of natural lighting. Karen Matty and her team have really outdone themselves. I highly recommend you check it out at 2031 McCallum Road!

Sold signs have been popping up everywhere. If you are a seller in this market, you are laughing all the way to the bank…until you have to buy something. Then the process becomes not so funny. It definately is a seller’s market with over 2/3’s of the homes listed selling with multiple offers and for much more than list price. Inventory is low and supply is high! This doesn’t make the home BUYING job easy. This is why is is vital that if you are wanting to buy, you need to get experience to back you up in the process. It takes much skill along with somebody who has been in the business for a very long time to get the job done for you. Victor Klassen of our team, is commencing his 30th year in real estate. He has weathered many storms and is considered a leader in the industry; not only by his clients but also his fellow realtors. Many come to him for advice on a regular basis. Our team consists of 3 licensed agents and one assistant. We are FULL TIME and ready to help. Give us a call and we can guide you in the right direction!

While doing some research on the MLS system, I decided to see what was the most expensive home for sale right now. It is a beauty at 30709 North Burgess Avenue in Bradner. It is a 15,000 sq ft 2 storey with a basement home. This home is incredible with its own cinema and ice arena! The asking price for this one is a whopping $8,488,000. If this one fits your budget,

Buying your first house and getting a mortgage can be overwhelming. Even more daunting is deciding where to go for a mortgage. It is our experience that using an experienced mortgage broker is a wise choice. In many cases, a broker is able to get a deal with a seasoned lender whose rates are much better than that of a bank. Further, it is like the broker is holding your hand through the lending process. You are not just another customer. Bottom line is that using a broker is the most efficient way to get the best-priced and best-structured mortgage for you. A broker is just one phone call away – and you let them do the rest. Remember to talk to your Realtor who can recommend people with whom they have developed a professional relationship and who they trust to do a good job for you. Remember, mortgage brokers are paid their fee by the lender, not by the person who is using their services….there is no cost to the client!
